Local Time: Horotiu is an outcome of Local Time's multi-platform research inquiry into naming practices at the gallery site in April-May 2012. The publication, produced in an initial edition of 100 (now in its third printing), documents the events and actions that took place during Local Time's occupation of the site.

The launch also marked the release of a site-specific text created by Local Time for the St Paul St website, which traces historical currents that circulate around the gallery's current location above Nga Wai o Horotiu.
