In her wall-based cast acrylic works, Kāryn Taylor manipulates light, form and shadow to challenge perception. Informed by geometric abstraction and the concepts of metaphysics and quantum physics (the unseen structures that ground our realities), there is a visual or illusionistic effect to her work that is instantly compelling. The works appear to be ‘lit’ with an almost neon intensity, pulsating and radiating as you move around them.
