For the last weeks of Anahera-Jade’s Parallax: residency, we’re opening up the studio and we’d like you to join us.
AROHA. RAGE. HOPE. REST. RAVE.
Throughout her residency, Anahera-Jade has been building portals between te ao Māori, Samoan airbrushed buses, 80s rave posters and afrofuturist techno label Underground Resistance. She travels in the stories of the past and future. Time collapses, speculations are luminated.
Huaki has multifaceted meanings, to uncover, the rise of the moon, and to attack. Anahera-Jade invites you to have this word in mind while in the studio, where she is sharing work in progress and her inspirations.
Join us on 12 Hune June at 6pm to open the studio doors and the Parallax: programme for the first time with limited cocktails mixed by Yuyi Hu.
On the last day of Studio Huaki, on Saturday 28 Hune, there will be a live radio broadcast in collaboration with Mouthfull Radio from 4–6pm and a short film screening at 6:30pm. Please join us.
