The Sarjeant Gallery hosted Noble’s major series The Whanganui 1980; this was followed by a residency at Tylee Cottage in 1989. In 2003 Noble was awarded the Order of Merit for services to photography in New Zealand. In 2009 she was a recipient of a New Zealand Arts Foundation Laureate Award and was awarded the Massey University individual research medal. She was appointed as Distinguished Professor of Fine Art in 2013. Entry free, all welcome.
