Join internationally acclaimed Taranaki artist Reuben Paterson (well-known for his tree-sized sculpture The Golden Bearing) for a walk and talk in the Govett-Brewster Collection exhibition.
Paterson's artwork Time and Place (2017) is included in the Maori section of the exhibition.
Paterson will discuss inspiration behind his work and consider how the utilitarian gourd has international significance through history, its migrational arrival to Aotearoa New Zealand and how it connects people all over the world.
