Join The Central Art Gallery for the opening of our first exhibition for 2025! Barnes & Burrowes, Friday 17th January, 5:30pm.
Combining graphite, ink, and oil on paper, Ngāmotu New Plymouth artist Jordan Barnes creates hyper-realistic views of the human figure as he investigates the psychological impact, tension, and quiet dialogue emerging from solitude and isolation.
Working with mixed media on various substrates, from ACM to linen, Ōtautahi Christchurch artist Kara Burrowes immerses herself in her materials and processes—needing to feel her materials in order to express the spiritual longing she feels for home.
