UPDATE: This event is now Sold Out.

A book is a container where an idea can grow and be nurtured.

Join Meredith Paterson as she shows you how to make your own book. In these 2-hour workshops you will be introduced to pamphlet stitch, a simple and versatile binding method. It is a great place to start if you are interested in book making. You will leave with a soft-covered book where your own ideas can flourish.

We are offering two sessions, 10am–12pm & 2–4pm.

Spaces are limited, please book now to avoid disappointment.

At 12.30pm, a public demonstration of book binding will be presented in the Reading Room outside the Deane and Hirschfeld Galleries on Level 1. Take the time to see  Ana Iti: I must shroud myself in a stinging nettle, which this workshop is being presented in association with,  in these adjacent galleries.

Meredith Paterson is a Wellington based letterpress printer and artist book maker. She’s one of the founding members of The Old Shebang.
