Robin Hyde was a New Zealand journalist, poet, war correspondent and novelist. She is recognised as one of New Zealand’s most important writers of the 20th century and her works sit alongside that of Janet Frame and Katherine Mansfield. In 1929 she worked at the Wanganui Chronicle and what happened there would change her life. This session includes a short film about Robin Hyde A Home in this World, a talk by Paula Morris, author of Shining Land: Looking for Robin Hyde and a discussion with Hyde enthusiasts Michele Leggott, Juanita Deely, and Morris.

Followed by complimentary refreshments.
