Join us on Thursday 20 October at 6pm for an ambient musical performance by Pōneke based musician Christian Dimick. Utilising violin, found objects and micro cassettes, Dimick’s performance intends to sonically mimic the landscapes that can be found in the paintings throughout Through Claystone Eyes by Eleanor Díaz Ritson.

Christian Dimick is an artist and musician based in Te Whanganui-a-tara, Aotearoa. Along with playing in Recitals and Avant Glass Dimick is also a multi-instrumentalist and explores the possibilities of tape manipulation through a solo project under his own name. In 2021 he realised a solo ambient record titled ‘Cicatrix’ in which the more experimental elements of their musical practice can be heard.
