Please join CUZZIN$ aka Ruby Solly (Kāti Māmoe, Kāi Tahu, Waitaha) and Zak Argabrite (Cherokee descent) as they perform an improvisation based on the journey of the Waimapihi stream as it flows from the mountains to the sea, along a chalk map of Waimapihi drawn from Victoria St underpass entry to Left Bank and meandering through to the gallery.

This performance will feature ngā taonga pūoro (traditional Māori instruments) as well as saxophone to personify and give voice to he awa tūpuna, and the road that she now flows beneath. After following the stream path through the arcade into the exhibition, Zak and Ruby will wānanga on how elements, landscape, and whakapapa play in to music making within an indigenous context including the whakapapa of Kāti Māmoe to the Waimapihi stream.
