In 'Day Paintings', Hemer explores the relationship between digital media and painting, creating layered surfaces which integrate digital imagery with gestural, physical processes. Hemer holds a PhD in painting from the University of Sydney. Recent solo exhibitions include The Cobra Effect, Kristin Hjellegjerde, London (2018); MAKING-IMAGE, Luis De Jesus Los Angeles, Los Angeles (2018); and IRL, Yavuz Gallery, Singapore (2017).
