Workshops
coca.org.nzAs part of Mark Work, CoCA is hosting a rolling cast of tutors for a drawing party, this August.
Each tutor will suggest alternative ways of tackling a drawing - taking inspiration from different forms, the architecture of the gallery and current exhibitions.
Join CoCA for a series of sketching exercises where you can flex your creative and observational drawing skills.
Materials will be provided. Sessions are 30 minutes long and free to attend - register for each individually via the links below. Suitable for participants aged 10 years and over.
12pm – 12.30pm
Working in a deliberately monochrome palette, Mark Soltero makes paintings, prints and drawings that interrogate relationships between image, memory and materiality. Mark will lead participants to experiment with a range of media and create drawings from memory. Book here for Mark's session.
12.45pm – 1.15pm
Jacquelyn Greenbank utilises found objects, recycled materials and meticulously intricate hand crafted objects within her varied practice. Well known for her sculptural works, Jac will explore light and shadow through cardboard assemblage in this session. Book here for Jacquelyn's session.
