Te Pātaka Toi Adam Art Gallery is pleased to invite you to the opening of our next exhibitions: Energy Work: Kathy Barry/Sarah Smuts-Kennedy and Barbara Tuck – Delirium Crossing at 6.00pm on Tuesday 12 July 2022.

The opening will be preceded by a tour of Energy Work led by curator Christina Barton, with artists Kathy Barry and Sarah Smuts-Kennedy. We also welcome gallerist Anna Miles who will introduce Barbara Tuck’s exhibition, Delirium Crossing. This will take place at 5.00pm. Please assemble in the Adam Art Gallery foyer. While numbers are no longer restricted, we advise all attendees to wear a mask.

Refreshments will be served between 6.00 and 7.30pm in the Gallery. We look forward to seeing you!

Energy Work is the first institutional survey of the work of Wellington-based artist, Kathy Barry and Auckland-based artist, Sarah Smuts-Kennedy. They each present bodies of work produced over the last decade. The exhibition is supported by The Chartwell Trust and the Patrons of the Adam Art Gallery.

Barbara Tuck – Delirium Crossing has been developed as a partnership between Anna Miles Gallery, Auckland; Ramp Gallery, Hamilton, and Te Pātaka Toi Adam Art Gallery. This exhibition features a selection of paintings by Barbara Tuck, which have been chosen by fifteen writers, whose texts are collated in the accompanying publication. This publication has been generously supported by Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa.

Energy Work and Delirium Crossing will be on show between 13 July and 25 September 2022. Adam Art Gallery is open Tues–Sun, 11.00am–5.00pm.
