Painted in reverse of the back of Perspex glass and decorated in tattoos, objects and symbolic images, the famous authors and mythological characters of Sam Mitchell’s portraits maintain eye contact as if posed mid-selfie, or gaze into the middle-distance in perfectly posed tableaus. In this workshop you will work off reference portraits and decorate your characters with the items and symbols that define them.
