All Welcome
Starkwhite Queenstown looks forward to welcoming John Reynolds back to talk about his new exhibition The Moon and the Flowers.
Reynolds is one of New Zealand’s foremost artists. With a distinctive style that interrogates the logics of drawing, mark-making, and language, his interdisciplinary practice spans painting, installation, and sculpture. Reynolds paintings are a proliferation of art historical, literary, architectural, and philosophical references interconnecting the heroic with the ordinary.
John Reynolds is an Arts Foundation Laureate and was the focus of Shirley Horrock’s documentary ‘Questions for Mr Reynolds’. He is also known for site-specific outdoor works including Snow Tussock and Golden Spaniard in East Otago; BIG WAVE TERRITORY in New Plymouth, and One Hundred and Eighty-Nine Steps commissioned by Auckland Council.
