Experience Alanis Obomsawin's To Move Between: Healing and Resistance after hours.
The work of Alanis Obomsawin emerges from her life experience and a profound commitment to listening hard and hearing the hard truths that can surface in this process. Growing up in Canada in the middle of the 20th century, she was often faced with structures of disempowerment. Obomsawin has sought to carve out an alternate experience for her community by developing a model of filmmaking that captures humanity’s fullness.
For the second edition of ART LATE, Karangahape Road and Ponsonby Road have teamed up to present Auckland’s largest concentration of art galleries in Aotearoa.
Tour 26 galleries between 5pm and 8pm on Thursday 2nd November; explore an array of exhibitions, take part in life drawing installations, listen to artist talks, and discuss the meaning behind your favourite pieces… all while enjoying a complimentary glass of SOHO WINES finest.
All welcome and free to attend.
ART LATE coincides with First Thursdays on Karangahape Road.
