Fifty years ago Matariki was largely unthought about throughout Aotearoa New Zealand, this year it becomes a public holiday. Debra Bustin, Diane Prince, Hariata Ropata Tangahoe, Maiangi Waitai and her daughter Coco Waitai, have made mahi toi for the kaupapa of Matariki. What does it mean to us today?
