Workshop for littlies (for children aged from birth to 6 years old)
10:00–11:00 AM
This workshop is designed for parents to join in alongside their tamariki - an adult must attend with each child.
We will be creating star window decorations that will feature a print of your child's hand. This workshop will also feature a short morning circle where we will learn a waiata and some finger games related to Matariki.
Workshop for children aged 6-12
11:30 AM–12:30 PM
Using water colour paintings, we will create beautiful star lanterns that can be a feature of your whānau Matariki celebrations. Using a template, we will trace and cut out all the pieces and then glue them together to create the lantern.
Workshop for teens aged 13-18
2:00–3:00 PM
Using water colour paintings, we will create beautiful star lanterns that can be a feature of your whānau Matariki celebrations. Using a template, we will trace and cut out all the pieces. There will be time to personalise your lanterns with pencil drawings or cut out paper silhouettes. These will then be glued together to create your lantern.
