Katherine Mansfield House & Garden invites you to a curator talk to celebrate the opening of our exhibition, Meet the Making. Leimomi Oakes, a costumier and fashion and textile historian, will discuss some of the pieces selected for the exhibition, and the techniques that were used to make them. The talk will take place at the Queen Margaret College Auditorium followed by a short walk (approx. 4 minutes on flat ground) to Katherine Mansfield House & Garden to view the exhibition. Registration required, see katherinemansfield.com for more information and to register.
This exhibition is presented in conjunction with Threads: Textiles Festival. The festival will take place across Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington from 16-20 March 2022, read more here.
