Join us to celebrate MOTUTAPU and the launch of the accompanying publication from Brendan Kitto and Benjamin Work.
Like the works on display, the publication reflects on the artists’ four-year journey to Motutapu (sacred island) throughout Moana Oceania, exploring the history of the shared name and connections to their own hohoko / 'akapapa (genealogy) across Tongatapu, Rarotonga and here in Tāmaki Makaurau.
To mark the occassion, the artists will be joined in conversation by Zoe Black, a contributor to the volume.
Afternoon tea will be provided and copies of the book will be available to purchase at the event.
MOTUTAPU is published by RIM Books.
