Join contemporary jeweller Neke Moa (Ngāti Kahungunu ki Ahuriri, Kai Tahu, Ngāti Porou, Tūwharetoa) in this hands-on workshop to create your own unique piece of jewellery.

Bring an object you’d like to transform into a piece of wearable jewellery - this could be a piece of bone, rock, metal, a river stone or shell - and use it to explore methods of hole-making, finishing techniques and braiding.

This workshop is limited to 10 people, so be sure to book – places will fill fast!

This event runs in conjunction with Ngā Hokohoko, which explores the kaupapa of hokohoko–exchange, trade, barter–within the contemporary jewellery community in Aotearoa. Featuring several of the most innovative jewellers from the past 40 years, Ngā Hokohoko charts connections and contrasts in materials and pivotal influences such as mātauranga Māori and Pasifika adornment. Open until 30 Aug 2020.
