In this Ockham Lecture, Justine Olsen, Curator Decorative Art and Design at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, will demystify the connections around research, collecting and exhibitions, particularly relating to modern design.

Justine will discuss the way exhibitions and acquisitions at Te Papa have informed a large research topic on modern design in Aotearoa. The exhibitions Modern Living (2020-21) and Being Modern: Gallery of Helen Hitchings (2016-17) are part of this work.
