Drawn to see(a) expands on Rozana Lee’s research into human-made and far-reaching environmental catastrophes, drawing together artworks made in response to her recent travel across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, and here in Ōtepoti; specifically the gradually eroding landfill under Kettle Park on St Clair beach. Lee’s artworks, a combination of moving image, textiles, photography and reading resources, invite people to consider how these catastrophes have unfolded, and what implications our actions have on future environments.
