Join Artspace Aotearoa for the opening of Sunlighting, the first iteration of the New Commissions programme. Opening on Friday 17 November, 6pm-8pm.
Each year Artspace Aotearoa orbits one question in the company of artists and through exhibitions. In 2023 Artspace asks “where does my body belong?” The gallery closes out the exploration of this with the first iteration of the New Commissions programme, evolving out of the legacy of the annual New Artists show and generously supported by the Chartwell Trust and Stout Trust. Sunlighting presents the work of three emerging artists living in Tāmakai Makaurau Auckland: Prairie Hatchard-McGill, Hulita Koloi, and Angela Pan.
