Join award-winning photographer Stefan Roberts as he leads a technical photography workshop on working creatively with light. Bring your own digital camera to play and learn.

This workshop is designed to be a fun learning environment where we will explore practical and creative uses of light to enhance the mood and storytelling of your images. We will see how light is an important ingredient in a photograph and why it is worthwhile studying the visual qualities of light. We will start off by discussing and playing with available light, looking at how we can select and use the light within a given environment. Then we will Introduce working with a variety of artificial light sources, from simple torches, to LED panels and small flash units. We will look at how to use artificial light in subtle ways, all the way up to dramatic experimental applications. Bring your cameras (and a tripod if you have one). This workshop is intended for beginners / enthusiast level.
