Talk
teuru.org.nzIn association with Lisa Walker’s major retrospective exhibition She wants to go to her bedroom but she can’t be bothered, Te Uru is hosting a series of talks by local jewellers and makers. Designed as rapid sessions in a loose ‘pecha-kucha style’, the kaupapa of these talks has been inspired by Walker’s career-length conversation with the question ‘what is jewellery?’
During the talks, visitors will hear from a range of practitioners that approach jewellery and wearable objects in unique and diverse ways. Learn about what motivates each speaker to practice, collaborate, collectivise and create unique, experimental and saleable objects.
