For young adults age 13 to 18.
In this workshop with potter Harriet Bright you will make a mug using hand building techniques. These can be textured, incised and embellished using a wide variety of techniques.
We will discuss and experiment with pottery techniques including sgraffito, mishima and sprigging, and learn the basic requirements for making work with clay.
Then we will paint these in underglaze colours designed to be used with pottery.
The work will be taken away to be dried, glazed and fired, and can be collected from the gallery after a few weeks.
Please wear old clothes that can get messy.
