Enjoy coffee, croissants and a ‘critique-style’ conversation about DEPOT Artspace’s current exhibition - RE: OBJECT - on Friday 13 December, 11am at 28 Clarence St, Devonport.

The open discussion will be focused on the process of artists collaborating on exhibition design and installation, as well as other developmental opportunities for craft/object artists.

This event will be facilitated by curator, academic and fellowship coach Heather Galbraith and renowned ceramic artist Virginia Leonard, in conversation with several members of the OBJECT MAKER Aotearoa Fellowship.

The OBJECT MAKER Aotearoa Fellowship provides a learning opportunity for ten emerging contemporary artists who work in object-based disciplines with materials such as glass, ceramics, metals, plastics, stone, textiles, wood, natural and found materials.

The Fellowship was established to address a dire lack of specialist tertiary qualifications within the craft/object disciplines across Aotearoa. It takes an intentional cross-discipline approach and sets a platform to help break down the silos and highlight the benefits of learning alongside other contemporary artists who utilise different materials and methodologies.
