Come along and learn how to spin with a drop spindle with artist Annie Mackenzie. During this workshop you will learn an ancient craft that has been practised by people throughout the world for thousands of years, so that you are able to create a beautiful soft yarn to use in your knitting, crochet or weaving projects.

All materials will be supplied and you will be using Polwarth from Starcrest Farm in Oxford, North Canterbury. You will have the opportunity to purchase a drop spindle ($15) to take home to continue your spinning journey.

This workshop is limited to 6 participants and bookings are essential.

Book via the Sarjeant Gallery Shop online or phone (06) 3490506 or email info@sarjeant.org.nz to register your interest.

Participants are required to wear a mask for the duration of the workshop and stay home if they are unwell/isolating.

This workshop comes to us courtesy of REKINDLE, in Ōtautahi Christchurch, an organisation that teaches resourceful craft workshops.
