Moses Mackay (SOL3 MIO) will perform live at Te Papa Foundation’s annual fundraising event.

Spring Soirée is Te Papa Foundation’s annual fundraiser – a chance to get into your best gala glam and enjoy a night in the museum.

2023 marks 25 years since Te Papa opened its doors, and you won’t want to miss this chance to celebrate with an evening of wine, canapés, red carpet photo opportunities and a charity auction, all in support of Our Place. Live entertainment will be provided by the incomparable Moses Mackay.

The incomparable Moses Mackay (SOL3 MIO) and pianist Dr Ludwig Treviranus will perform a one-night-only show live inside Te Papa, accompanied on Michael Parekowhai’s iconic artwork He Korero Purakau mo Te Awanui o Te Motu: Story of a New Zealand River. This work was the centrepiece of Parekowhai’s 2011 Venice Biennale exhibition, and will come out of Te Papa’s collection for this special event.

Te Papa is the living memory of New Zealand; a national museum and art gallery rolled into one. Buying a ticket to the Spring Soirée supports the museum’s work across research, art, education and cultural programmes, ensuring that this iconic and much-loved institution continues to thrive.
