Story Time & Tissue Art
gusfishergallery.auckland.ac.nzBring your kids along for a fun session of story time in the gallery with friendly Gallery Invigilator, Briana Woolliams. These stories will be inspired by themes from the gallery's current exhibition From our Beautiful Square, which reflects on a period of global lockdown.
You'll be reading Windows about a boy’s observations through his neighbourhood windows on an evening walk, and The Day the Lines Changed, which explains what it means to live through a viral outbreak without ever using the words “pandemic” or “Coronavirus”.
Story Time will then be followed by a fun craft activity making paintings using coloured tissue paper. Materials supplied but free registration required.
Stories are for ages 2 to 6, with the tissue art activity for all ages with parental supervision. This event is kindly sponsored by Unity Books.
