Bring the kids! Auckland Art Fair is a family friendly event with free entry for children under 12 years of age. Especially designed for burgeoning little artists are the workshops on Saturday and Sunday hosted by Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery and Arts 4 Us, so don't forget to check them out on the mezzanine level of The Cloud.

Auckland Art Fair is grateful to Te Uru and Arts 4 Us for organising the workshop, and Reno Art for supplying art materials for the workshops.

Create your own multi-media masterpiece.

In this special all-ages multi-media workshop, hosted by the Te Uru education team, your child can create their own unique piece of art inspired by Gavin Hipkins. They will layer a photograph with transparent acetate covered with text then complete with a cartoon self-portrait.

Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery is West Auckland’s regional gallery. Through their programmes, they create a world stage for art that is relevant to West Aucklanders, to put local art, artists and ideas in conversation and context with national and international developments in contemporary practice. They present a diverse programme of contemporary exhibitions, events and activities, including art, craft and design, to reflect and strengthen the full diversity of cultural identities, interests and potential of their community.
