John is a well known gallery artist (notable institutional shows include The Violet Hour at Auckland Art Gallery and The Cloud at Te Papa) fond of writing familiar yet obscure phrases on small canvases. John always has his finger firmly on the pulse of the contemporary moment and his works reflect that. According to John, the mood of the moment inspires swearing and cussing.
For this special pop up event - The Acronym Hustle - John will be in the gallery creating customised small canvases. Select a canvas, request a phrase and watch the magic happen. Any text will be considered, expletives are welcomed and encouraged!
