These paintings will have a particular resonance with New Zealand collectors, who have really taken this young Melbourne-based painter under their wings for the past four years. With recent solo shows in Sydney, Melbourne and now Auckland, Nic has painted this show exclusively for us Kiwis (with one or two exceptions that I forced him to include, ha!) It's a ripper of a show, I promise.
He has pulled out all the stops with these tonally magnificent, deeply allegorical works triggered by his first journey into fatherhood, and the hopes and fears that come with it.
