Join New Zealand author Megan Dunn as she shares her latest book Things I Learned at Art School.

This hybrid memoir/essay collection tells the story of her early life and coming-of-age in New Zealand in the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s - from her Smurf collection to a chainsaw wielding performance artist, ALF to what it’s like to be an emerging-then a submerging-video artist.

Self-described cross between Fran Leibowitz and Anne of Green Gables, via Huntly, Megan Dunn’s triumphant return to the Monica Brewster Evening is sure to make you laugh, think and celebrate life.

Come along and enjoy this lively talk, sponsored by Govett Quilliam and hosted by the Govett Brewster Art Gallery.

Special Notice: While this event can be held at Alert Levels 1 or 2, safety measures including, sign-ins, social distancing and mask wearing will be observed. Refreshments are unable to be provided under these restrictions.
