Exhibition Opening + Book Launches
gowlangsfordgallery.co.nzPlease join Gow Langsford Gallery on Tuesday 24 November from 5-7pm for the opening of Karl Maughan's new exhibition at the Kitchener St Gallery, and a new body of work by Vienna-based New Zealand artist Andre Hemer titled The World Outside and the Pictures in Our Heads at Lorne Street.
On this occasion, the gallery are pleased to release the new limited edition screenprint Rata Road, which Maughan has worked on over the course of the year. Moreover this year, Gow Langsford Gallery has worked alongside Auckland University Press to publish a monograph on the artist. Launching alongside the exhibition, the book celebrates the artist's contribution to New Zealand art.
At the Lorne St Gallery, celebrate the New Zealand launch of a new publication; Day Paintings & Images Cast by the Sun, featuring two key bodies of Hemer's recent work alongside an essay by Rose Vickers.
