Waves of Reflection by Swiss-Kiwi artist Sarah Albisser explores contemplation as a vital practice for personal and collective well-being.
After seventeen years of working in black and white, Albisser incorporates metallic colours into her repertoire. With dark, brooding skies symbolising a desire for inner peace, and golden skies representing new beginnings, the work invites viewers to accept the past while remaining grounded in the present. Vast areas of empty space create a sense of stillness, allowing the mind to settle and reflect.
Albisser’s work has been exhibited internationally, in Switzerland, New Zealand, Australia and Los Angeles, and is now part of private collections worldwide.
Join us for the opening night of Sarah Albisser’s solo exhibition on Thursday, 31 October at 5pm, with refreshments generously provided by our sponsors, Viktor Vavricka, Ambassador of Switzerland to New Zealand, and Arobake.
