Maisie Chilton is a Waihōpai born, Pōneke based artist, poet and teacher. As a self-taught creative, she uses mahi toi as a means to address, process and heal the physical and mental tension caused by disability and repressed trauma. ‘When the bell breaks’ explores the fears and anxieties that arose for Maisie when she discovered she would become a parent.
