Open Day

Keen to celebrate Te Uru's new exhibitions? Why not make a day of it, and learn more about each exhibition from the artists themselves? The gallery have a variety of talks and events to enjoy, happening across Lopdell Precinct, from a rapid-fire pecha kucha-style pitopito korero session featuring jewellery experts – Whau Studios, Julia Marin, Eloiza Montana and Haley Lowe – to a tour with Lisa Walker through her major new exhibition, talks with the curators and artists of Māori Moving Image, and concluding with the opening celebration for Te Uru's new exhibitions.


12.30pm: Pitopito korero jewellery talks in the Lopdell House Seminar Room

2pm: Floor talk with Lisa Walker, Te Uru

3pm: Floor talk with Bridget Reweti, Melanie Oliver, Ana Iti and Jeremy Leatinu’u, Te Uru

4pm: Opening refreshments and speeches in the Learning Centre, Te Uru
