Please join Linette van Greunen in a sketchbook making workshop.

Creativity is a superpower, and your sketchbook is your sidekick.

Participants in this workshop will explore using a physical sketchbook/visual journal to make room for creativity and ways to develop a sustainable, creative practice.

There are many ways to use a sketchbook to support creative work, especially if one views it as a handy tool instead of as a work of art. It can be used to make drawings, write notes, for record keeping, lists of ideas to try, questions to answer, areas to explore, research, and a safe space reflecting on artwork and creative process.

This workshop will cover how to make your own little one-page folded journal (A6 size). You will learn ways to activate the page to easily get started, using black ink and collage. Common issues (for example perfectionism, procrastination, resistance) that may interfere with our habit of working in our sketchbook will be discussed and explored in a writing exercise with guided prompts.

You will go home with your own unique little sketchbook and some ideas to invite more freedom and inventiveness into your creative practice.

No art or writing skills required for this workshop. Our process will be private, personal and judgement free.

All materials for the workshop will be provided. Max of 8 participants
