  • Ruby Wilkinson, Christian Dimick

Jhana Millers Gallery are pleased to present an exhibition of works in their foyer, and downstairs at the Yu Mei Lounge, by two final year art students from Massey University.

(a)part Ruby Wilkinson and Christian Dimick Wednesday 29 September – Sunday 10 October 2021

(a)part is running in conjunction with the College of Creative Arts final year exhibitions paper.

Ruby Wilkinson and Christian Dimick are emerging artists based in Te Whanganui-a-tara Wellington, and are completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) at Toi Rauwhārangi, College of Creative Arts, Massey University. They predominantly work in the field of painting, but occasionally employ other mediums — poetry, drawing, sound and photography.

Their exhibition (a)part explores how works are created and informed through the closeness of a shared studio and intimate relationship. As a means of making work, they embrace basic gestures, creating a symbiotic pictorial conversation. Form and narrative develop naturally, thoughts rise and fall, allowing the paintings to be the result of a gradual process of reflection and response.
