Grace is a gallery in Tāmaki Makaurau, specialising in the representation of early-career artists within Aotearoa. The gallery is directed by Emil Scheffmann.

As part of the May Art Fair, Grace is delighted to present new works by Georgia Tikaputini Douglas Hood and Christian Dimick. Coinciding with the Fair, Grace will be hosting Rain-Talk, a solo-exhibition by Eleanor Cooper.


Georgia Tikaputini Douglas Hood:

Following on from her debut exhibition at Grace, Āmene (2024), Georgia Tikaputini Douglas Hood creates four new pots for May Art Fair.

Georgia Tikaputini Douglas Hood (Ngāti Rangiwewehi, Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Pākehā) is an uku (clay) artist from Tāmaki Makaurau. She graduated with an Honours degree at Whitecliffe College of Creative Arts in 2021.

Hood’s exhibitions include Pianola (2024) with Christian Dimick and Samuel Scully at Studio One Toi Tū, and Āmene (2024) at Grace Aotearoa. She recently undertook a residency in Crete, where she studied ancient Greek pottery.


Christian Dimick:

Christian Dimick presents a collection of five new paintings for May Art Fair.

Christian Dimick is an artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau who paints and draws.

Dimick graduated with a BFA (First class Honours) from Massey University, Wellington, in 2022. Since then he has shown in numerous group and solo exhibitions in both Aotearoa and Australia, including at Paper Anniversary and Grace. Most recently, Dimick’s work featured in Three Approaches, Three Rooms at Gus Fisher Gallery.

In 2024, Dimick became the inaugural artist peer of Grace.


Eleanor Cooper:

Coinciding with the May Art Fair, Grace presents Rain Talk, an exhibition by the newly represented artist, Eleanor Cooper. The gallery is a two-minute walk from the fair venue, via Karangahape Road and Pitt St, and will be offering these additional hours for fair-goers:

Thursday 1 May, 11am - 4pm
Friday 2 May, 10am - 8pm
Saturday 3 May, 10am - 6pm
Sunday 4 May, 11am - 4pm
