A site specific weaving work created by Jungeun Lee designed to interact with the language of the space and the path within.
Jungeun Lee is a weaver and textile designer based in Auckland, New Zealand. Founder of her own textile practice Cohn in 2014, Lee’s woven works have been exhibited extensively overseas in Seoul (Korea) and in Auckland. Jun started her practice of weaving and serigraphy after her textile major in 2003, and continued these techniques by experimenting in art and apparel design.
This exhibition is presented in conjunction with Threads: Textiles Festival. With more than 15 free exhibitions and a roster of workshops, talks and tours at venues spanning Lower Hutt, Petone, Thorndon and the central city, Threads sheds new night on contemporary textile practices in Aotearoa and beyond. The festival will take place across Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington from 16-20 March 2022, read more here.
