When light plays and colours are consistent and stabilising factors in adapting to new lands... Double Perspective - A Cross-cultural Artistic Journey by artists Micheline Robinson and Claire Wastiaux is a thought-provoking touring exhibition with its associated workshop titled Shapeshift: Exploring the Art of New Forms.

The two artists have been united in a visual call and response, a creative dialogue determined through their distinctive materials and overlapping interest in evoking new realities from fragments of their past and present experiences whilst also conveying their emotional journey. A harmonious dance of colours results which illuminates the complexities of constant relocation, amplifying the voices of trailing spouses or individuals navigating their own adaptation process. The exhibition centers on optical illusions and explores how the power of awe can serve as a tool for adaptation. Both artists reside in the Wellington Region and will be in Oxford for their exhibition opening and workshop.
