Working with the support of artists and gallerists, Te Uru is pleased to present its inaugural fundraiser art auction New Winds.
This presentation includes works in various media by Te Uru alumni artists, illustrating the rich diversity of contemporary art in Aotearoa. Auction proceeds will go to supporting artists and the development of ambitious new projects at Te Uru over the coming year.
Drawing from the Gallery’s namesake 'Te Hau a Uru’ (the wind that blows from the west), New Winds reflects the significant cultural history of the Waitākere region and its exciting trajectory for contemporary art.
Contributing artists include Gretchen Albrecht, Don Binney, Kushana Bush, Chris Charteris, Jane Dodd, Stephen Ellis, Roy Good, Ayesha Green, Andy Leleisi’uao, John Parker, Elizabeth Thomson, Hannah Valentine, Lisa Walker, Gordon Walters, Ans Westra and Cora-Allan.
