We arrived at our Symonds Street home in 2011, by then our building was well into its eighties, showing all the signs of the eight decades it had stood since construction in 1925. With its unique character of Kauri wood, stained glassed windows etc, it held great potential as a space that would not only house a family but also an art gallery.
One Hundred Years is a celebration of resilience and marks the test of time. Featuring work from Janet Lilo, Courtney Sina Meredith, Philip Tse, Nim Flora Chan, DAM (Danielle Akenese Meredith) and Kingsley Spargo; each work shows the dynamic relationships supporting the artist at every twist and turn of life.
