Recently returned to Wellington, Gregory O'Brien was join recipient (with his wife Jenny Bornholdt) of the 2018 Henderson Arts Trust residency in Alexandra. He has been making collaborative etchings with Niue-based artist John Pule since 2010. His book-length meditation on the imagination and the environment, Always song in the water, will appear from Auckland University Press in September.
