Plastic Soul brings together works by artists whose work seems to sustain intensive sonic qualities that fold seamlessly into their visual experience. Though it is unlikely that each painter sets out with any particularly synaesthetic ambitions, you do get the sense that assonance finds its way in somehow.
The nature of the sonics dimension between each of these painters is clearly very different, but they all have an undeniable audible quality - even if one or two approach statistical silence.
The exhibition includes new paintings by Mark Francis whose works will in fact be accompanied by a composition by British musician Andy C. There will also be major new paintings by Imi Knoebel, Hanns Kuniztberger, Koen Delaere, Erin Lawlor, Gunter Umberg and Todd Hunter and collectively it will be symphonic.

- Saturday, 11am -3pm

- 10 Putiki Street
