Sue Soo (1926-2016) came to New Zealand as a war refugee from China in 1940. In the 1960s Sue and her husband Ken Soo had two fruit and vegetable shops in Raumati. Sue began painting after her husband’s death and created hundreds of joyful paintings of ballerinas, flowers, animals and birds.
