For more than fifty years, Dame Robin White (Ngāti Awa, Pākehā) has portrayed people and their environments in Aotearoa, Kiribati, Fiji, Tonga and beyond. These places – and the people she’s forged relationships with – have transformed her life and art. Explore her celebrated portraits and iconic landscapes from the 1970s, and the ambitious collaborative works she made with artists from across the Pacific and Aotearoa in recent years. The exhibition includes more than fifty works that form what the artist describes as a “family reunion”, bringing together works from galleries and living rooms around Aotearoa.

Robin White: Te Whanaketanga | Something Is Happening Here takes visitors on an intimate journey across place and through time, showcasing the remarkable breadth and continuous innovation in White’s practice.
